Angela Smith
NCC, LCMHC, LCMHC-S, ACS
Angie Smith, NCC, LCMHC, LCMHC-S, ACS is a counselor and leadership educator, counselor, coach, supervisor, and organizational development practitioner with more than 20 years of experience in higher education, leadership development, counselor education, and professional coaching. She serves as a Teaching Professor in Counselor Education at North Carolina State University, where she has taught, mentored, and supervised master's and doctoral students, helping prepare the next generation of counselors, leaders, educators, and advocates.
Angie is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor (LCMHC-S) in North Carolina, an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS), and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). Her counseling and supervision experience provides a strong foundation for helping individuals navigate personal and professional transitions, strengthen resilience, and achieve meaningful growth throughout their careers.
A committed advocate for the counseling profession and her local community, Angie is passionate about creating opportunities for growth, access, and inclusion. She has dedicated much of her career to mentoring students, early-career counselors, and emerging professionals, helping them build confidence, develop professional identity, and achieve their personal and career goals. Whether in the classroom, coaching conversation, supervision relationship, or community setting, she is driven by a belief in the transformative power of leadership, service, mentorship, and lifelong learning.
