The NBCC Foundation brings the healing power of counseling to under-served or never served communities through funding efforts in Board determined priority areas. The current priorities are described below. Donors are encouraged to share information about priority areas they would like the Board to consider. Let us hear from you by emailing foundation@nbcc.org, subject line Priority Feedback.
Scholarships
The NBCC Foundation scholarship program is designed to increase the availability of counselors in underserved areas, with the current priority areas of rural and military communities.
The rural scholarship increases access to needed counseling services in remote areas, and the military scholarship encourages counselors with military experience to continue serving our nation’s finest.
Five rural scholarships and five military scholarships are available in the amount of $3,000 each.
You may apply for both scholarships, if applicable; however, only one scholarship can be awarded to you while you are pursuing a counseling education.
The Foundation is incredibly proud to support these individuals and is confident that they will make a difference for the population they’ve committed to serve. Get to know the former rural and military scholarship recipients and see how they’re making a difference.
