Leadership

Board of Trustees

The NBCC Foundation is governed by an eight member Board of Trustees representing both National Certified Counselors as well as the public at large. Positions are filled by committed individuals who promote and support the mission of the Foundation. Elected trustees serve a three-year term and may be elected for a second three-year term.

The NBCC Foundation Trustees seek candidates who have successful experience serving on fund raising boards or with such organizations. NGO and university capital campaigns often give applicants excellent experiences. All expenses involved in Board related travel are reimbursed by the Foundation. The Foundation meets two times a year with other possible meetings or teleconferences required. Some domestic and international travel is necessary.

The Foundation Board disseminates a Call for Letters of Interest in order to fill open positions. Currently, there are three openings on the Board for positions starting July 1, 2012. Further, the Foundation conducts ongoing Board development in order to ensure seamless leadership, and welcomes inquiries at any time. To be included in the Letter of Interest announcement, please send your email address to foundation@nbcc.org, subject line: Letter of Interest.
